Counts as the prerequisite for Natural Edge Bowl Turning!

Class Description:  Always wanted to learn the fundamentals of woodturning? Our two-day Introduction to Turning is a wonderfully educational introduction to the basics of spindle, plate, and bowl turning — the foundation of a woodturner’s bag of tricks! Master woodturner Ed Youtz will teach you the fundamentals of turning as well as safe lathe operation, setting you up to explore turning further if you wish either at home or at PW as a member! As an added benefit, this class doubles as a prerequisite for our intermediate level turning classes. Lastly, turning produces large amounts of shavings and dust. Students are encouraged to wear a smock or old shirt that closes around the neck. We also ask that you wear long pants and generally dress to get messy. Leave any dangling jewelry at home, tie back loose hair, and no open-toed shoes will be allowed.

Tuition: $299 + materials ($39)

Prerequisites: None!

Cancellation or Rescheduling: Allowable only 14 or more days from start of class.  See our full Reservation and Cancellation Policy here.
