This workshop is a perfect one-day woodturning challenge! If you like the look of rustic and distressed wood, then this is the PERFECT project for you! Our Rustic Trunk is as functional as it is beautiful. Use it as a focal point like a coffee table, as an accent piece like a liquor box, along a wall or at the end of your bed. In class, students will assemble their own interior structure made from furniture grade multi-ply birch plywood that is then fully wrapped in a gorgeous layer of rough sawn Red Oak. The smooth plywood interior will protect your personal effects while the gorgeous rough-sawn and distressed exterior will catch the eye of everyone who sees it! Students will enjoy the use of a variety of tools throughout the day including the table saw, miter saw, bandsaw, router table, drill, nail gun and hand plane. Each and every trunk will come out both jaw-dropping and 100% unique!
