Our Cedar Planter Box is the perfect 1-day project, great for complete beginners and experienced woodworkers alike! In this course you will use a wide variety of machines and tools to construct your planter from premium cedar, perfectly sized for inside the house, a window box or part of your garden or patio! Pens make wonderful presents and are great projects to do with friends and family if you have a lathe at home. In the intimate setting of a small class, you'll get plenty of individual attention. Your enrollment covers the first two pens you make, but while in class, you can purchase an additional materials kit and make additional pens!

Students experience the precision needed to make a flawless food serving tray as well as the feeling of shaping and carving by hand a comfortable knife handle for an ultra-versatile chef’s knife.  Our use of breadboard ends on the serving tray offers a gorgeous sense of sophistication while helping teach students a fundamental understanding of how wood expands and contracts throughout the year, something all woodworkers must master!
