Class Description: Always wanted to learn the fundamentals of woodturning? Our two-day Introduction to Turning is a wonderfully educational introduction to the basics of both spindle and bowl turning — the foundation of a woodturner’s bag of tricks! Learn the fundamentals of turning as well as safe lathe operation, setting you up to explore turning further if you wish either at home or at PW as a member!

Turning produces large amounts of shavings and dust. Students are encouraged to wear a smock or old shirt that closes around the neck. We also ask that you wear long pants and generally dress to get messy. Leave any dangling jewelry at home, tie back loose hair, and no open-toed shoes will be allowed.  We have dust masks for sale but feel free to bring your own!

Tuition: $399 + materials ($99 + tax)
