The staked chair (named for how the legs join into the seat) is the perfect blend of traditional chair construction and modern form. With legs at compound angles, and a comfortable curved backrest, this chair challenges students to think outside of the straight and square box and work toward something that conforms to the human body. Beyond traditional wood milling and table saw techniques, this two day class experience also includes bent lamination, compound angle drilling and an introduction to turning spindle tenons on the lathe!
