Class Description: Harness the power of the extremely versatile and completely timeless hand plane! This is an entry-level course designed towards woodworkers looking to learn traditional hand tool techniques. Learn the anatomy of the hand plane, proper sharpening and maintenance, what type of plane to use for the task, and get answers to your questions about when and how to use hand planes in the process of making your projects. Also get hands-on training with sharpening and using cabinet card scrapers which are a great compliment to the handplane user.  Enjoy a full day of hand tool learning with Bruce Driscoll, an expert woodworker with over 30 years of professional furniture and cabinet making experience!

Tuition: $179 + materials ($19)
