(Please Click Date to Enroll)

Duration: 4 hours

Class Description: Build upon the Chip Carving skills you learned in the Introduction to the Art of Chip Carving class by exploring a sampling of the infinite design possibilities in rosette carving. In this class you will learn how to lay out and carve several rosettes. Unlike the Introductory Chip Carving class where the practice board was laid out for students in advance, in this class you will learn how to use a compass, t-square and pencil to draw the rosettes on a blank practice board and then how to carve them using the proper order of chip relief. You’ll also discover how you can carve the same design in different ways to create rosettes of varying appearance. Rosettes can be an end in themselves or serve as an applied adornment to an existing project!
